MyShortClip Timecode and subtitle tools

Privacy

This page covers the timecode calculator and subtitle tools at myshortclip.com. Last updated 4 November 2026.

What you type stays on your device

The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Timecodes, frame counts and seconds you type are never sent to us or anyone else. The frame rate you pick is saved in your browser's local storage so the page opens on it next time; you can clear it by clearing this site's data.

The subtitle translator

The subtitle tools also run in your browser, with one exception: when you press Translate, the text of the captions (not the timing or the file) is sent in small batches to this site's server on Cloudflare and translated by Cloudflare Workers AI. We do not store it, and the translation model runs with zero data retention at Cloudflare. Before the first batch, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person is using the page; Cloudflare designs it to do this without tracking visitors. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Server logs

The site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare and our server record technical request data such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, to deliver the page and keep it secure. We do not use these logs to identify you.

Advertising

The calculator is free because it shows ads served by Google. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads and measure them, and, where you allow it, to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent first and can change their choice at any time.

You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and turn off personalised ads at adssettings.google.com.
